Product Design - SnowPad

The goal of this professional project was to design a new snow guard for roofs that breaks away from a pure utilitarian look and is as aesthetically pleasing as it is useful.

I was responsible for the design of the guard from the ground up. This included initial sketches and ideas, 3D models, renders, prototypes, and all technical documentation. It also included leading internal forums for design feedback as well as communicating with external die cast vendors in order to design a cost effective and manufacturable product.

3D modeling and design was primarily done with Solidworks and AutoDesk Maya. Rendering was primarily done with Unreal Engine 4, Substance Painter, and Photoshop.
